Who we are

Rainbow Connections Disability Services (ABN 31 664 046 842, NDIS Provider No. 4050171208) is a registered NDIS provider operating on the Central Coast and in Newcastle, NSW. We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles, and our obligations under the NDIS.

What we collect

To provide safe, personalised support, we may collect:

• Your name, pronouns, contact details and date of birth
• Your NDIS number, plan details and plan management type
• Health and support information relevant to your care
• Emergency contacts and, where relevant, guardian or nominee details
• Records of the supports we deliver and any feedback or complaints

How we use it

We use your information to deliver and coordinate your supports, meet our NDIS and legal obligations, process payments through your plan, keep you safe, and improve our services. We will always tell you why we're collecting sensitive information and ask your consent where the law requires it.

Who we share it with

We share only what's necessary, and only with:

• Your plan manager or the NDIA, to process claims
• Health professionals and other providers involved in your support, with your consent
• Regulators such as the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, where required by law

We never sell your personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.

Website enquiries

If you send an enquiry through this website, your details go directly to our secure intake system, are used only to respond to you, and are handled under this policy. They are not stored on the web server itself.

Keeping it secure

We store information securely, limit access to staff who need it, and retain records only as long as we're required to under NDIS and Australian law. When information is no longer needed, we destroy or de-identify it.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw consent for uses that aren't legally required. Just contact us, we won't make it hard. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
